It is unclear why Bob Bradley, head coach of the Egyptian national football team (aka The Pharaohs), decided to camp his team in Khartoum rather than Beirut:

Egypt boss Bob Bradley has decided to change the location of this month’s camp from Lebanon to Sudan, where the national team are supposed to play a couple of friendlies against African rivals.

The Egypt squad were due to fly to Beirut to play two friendly games including one against hosts Lebanon right after Ahli and Zamalek’s upcoming continental fixtures by the end of March.

But Bradley opted to visit North African neighbors Sudan, where the Pharaohs are expected to meet Uganda and Chad.

“Bradley decided we shall camp in Sudan instead of Lebanon because he prefers to face African nations,” Egypt assistant coach Diaa Al-Sayed told FilGoal.com.

Because African football teams are… I have no idea.
